Mohali : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the new office of Narcotics Task Force, During this, CM Bhagwant Mann cornered BJP by attacking BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut over the farmers’ movement and also Launched anti-drug helpline and WhatsApp chatbot (97791-00200).
After inaugurating the new building of anti-narcotic task force in Mohali, CM Mann said that initiatives have been taken by our government in every field. Accordingly, now the Special Task Force has been updated, it has been named as New Anti Narcotic Task Force, it will replace the Special Task Force.
The number of employees in this force has also been doubled and increased to 800.
Along with this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also inaugurated WhatsApp Chatbot, now anyone can report drug abuse on WhatsApp number 9779100200, and an immediate action will be initiated and name of the informant will be kept confidential. He said that we consider drug addicts as patients, they will not be sent to jail but to hospital, drug dealers will not be spared.
Chief Minister further said that the police is effectively solving serious cases related to law and order.
CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the police is effectively deployed along the 532 km international border bordering the state to protect the unity and integrity of the country and added that 379 drug traffickers have been registered and assets worth Rs 173 crore have been seized and more actions are underway.
On Kangna Ranaut’s Controversial statement Punjab CM said, ‘People have elected her as an MP to resolve the issues of Mandi constituency and not to make absurd and baseless statements that will create unrest in the society and said I would like to ask the BJP government to control its MPs.
