Congress suspends Chitra Sarva for six years for ‘anti-party activities’

New Delhi, September 23

Weeks ahead of the Haryana assembly elections, the All India Congress Committee has suspended the party’s rebel leader Chitra Sarwara for six years for her involvement in “anti-party activities”.

This has come to light after Chitra Sarwara filed her candidature as an independent candidate from Ambala Cantonment. Congress has fielded Parvinder Pal Pari from this seat against six-time MLA and senior BJP leader Anil Vij.
