Farmers setting fire to stubble after harvesting, 150 cases registered

Police personnel were seen extinguishing the fire set by the farmers after harvesting the paddy crop in Saideke Mohan village of Ferozepur constituency Guruharshay and Arif village of Ferozepur. Meanwhile, SPD Randhir Kumar appealed to the farmers not to burn stubble in the fields and said that according to the data obtained from the satellite, 150 cases of stubble burning have been registered so far, against which further action is being taken.

After harvesting the paddy crop, many farmers are burning the stubble, due to which smoke is being released into the sky and the environment is deteriorating. Due to which, after strict orders, at Saideke Mohan village of Ferozepur district of Ferozepur district of Punjab and after harvesting the paddy crop by the farmers in Arif village of Ferozepur, the police are going to the fields and putting out stubble fire. While SPD Randhir Kumar has appealed to the farmers to put out the fire. He said that stubble should not be set on fire in the fields.

SPD Randhir Kumar said that the police are patrolling in different villages and the police had received information that the police had seized the paddy crop of the farmers at Saideke Mohan village of Guruharshay and Arif K village of Ferozepur. After patrolling, the fire was extinguished.
